There are a lot of awful inventions out there. From Pajama Jeans to the WaxVac, the world is filled with terrible ideas that somehow become real things. However, now and then there are some pretty awesome inventions that we all need to stop and admire. Now is one of those times.

Colin Furze, an English filmmaker, inventor, and plumber, has created a pair of magnetic shoes in honor of X-Men’s Magneto. The project is part of an DIY X-Men series Furze is doing in anticipation of the upcoming film, X-Men: Days of Future Past. In fact, this is the second invention in Furze’s 3-part series of X-Men projects, with the first being an amazing pair of automatic wolverine claws.

Furze is no stranger to ridiculous(ly awesome) inventions, as the world record holder for World’s Longest Motorbike, Fastest Mobility Scooter, and Fastest Stroller. However, these magnetic shoes take things to the next level – literally. It’s clear Furze knows this too, as he has one of the most enjoyable freak outs ever.

Check out the video below and enjoy the awesomeness that is watching a man walking on the ceiling. Lionel Richie and the A*Teens may have dreamed about it, but Colin Furze has made it a reality, and for that we thank him.
